Theme for the 8th edition of alger telecom & Djaz.IT: Connectivity and Value Added Services

Algeria’s 8th telecom and IT exhibition is held at the Palais des Expositions Pins Maritimes in Algiers from 12 to 15 October 2008. A professional showcase full of innovation, and - at the same time - an important platform for exchange and debate of the latest technologies and solutions.   

The organising partners, who include some of Algeria’s most important institutions, guarantees the success of this 8th International Telecommunications and Information Technology Exhibition and Conference. For the very first time, alger telecom & Djaz.IT are organised under the high patronage of H.E. Hamid Bessallah, the new Algerian Minister of Posts and Information and Communications Technology. It is Mr Bessallah’s declared target to build up the Algerian Information Society by introducing CIT into each and every sector of the society in order to improve the living conditions of the Algerians.
 
In cooperation between the ministry of CIT and fairtrade, a leader in professional exhibitions, the 8th edition of alger telecom & Djaz.IT has been put under the general theme “Connectivity and Value Added Services” with a special focus on 8 topics, namely UMTS, WiMax, Satellite, IP/FSI, RMS, e-health, e-payment and IPTV/IP-Audio.

On October 13 and 14, a series of conferences on “Connectivity and Value Added Services” is held alongside the exhibition at the Hotel Hilton - with the participation of ministers, CEO’s and top industry professionals.

The Forum will discuss solutions and answers for Algeria on how to integrate CIT into its development strategy.
